If you brought a Bible this evening, let's turn, please, to 2 Peter the third chapter.

Are you ready to believe with me this evening?

You know, utterance is greatly affected by the hearer.

Both Jesus and Paul talked about with different groups of people that they would have

gone into this or said this or that, but they said you can't hear it.

You can't bear it.

And so they didn't.

So utterance is affected by hearers, isn't it?

And, you know, Jesus talked about this.

Don't cast your pearls before swine.

Don't give that which is holy to the dogs.

That's not just calling people names.

It's dogs have no appreciation or distinction

between what's holy and not.

And pigs don't value a pearl any more than a pebble.

Right? They don't know the difference and don't care. And so what the thought is, you shouldn't give precious things

to people who don't care. But those that hunger and thirst, after righteousness, the good

things of God, they'll be filled.

So can you hunger some tonight?

Can you stir up and help me?
