Hey, I'm John Gordon, Positive University, and today my guest is Clinton Williams. I call him Q. He is a former federal prosecutor, a former FBI

agent. Now he is an attorney in the sports world and also is a

social advocate. He's written a book, The Survival Guide, How to Not Get Killed by the police, which I'm going to ask you about.

But also, he's very knowledgeable about the issues of today and what's going on in the world, things with guns, shootings, all that.

I want to have them on so we can talk about this really difficult issue in a positive way,

right?

So Q, thanks so much for being with me.

It's my pleasure, John.

So we just had another shooting today.

Yes.

And that happens. What do you think about that?

I always think about what is the underlying cause of it. Why are why are we seeing this in society? It's easy to go just directly to how do we prevent it from a logistics standpoint,

creating more security barriers, having more school resource officers.

But I think about how do we insert education into this process

so that this is not, so we're preempting it as opposed to reacting to it.

Why do you think all of a sudden this is happening so much?

I don't see it as all of a sudden. We've had these kinds of instances happen throughout our history.

Perhaps they didn't happen in the context of a school, school shooting, but we've had churches, we've had

corporate places of business. So really the issue is what is bringing people to the brink of this destruction

because these are once you make that decision to do something like this

there's a very good chance that you're not going to make it out alive.

So it's a form of taking your own life, but taking other people with you.
