Hello, welcome to the show. We thought that because of the passing of Queen Elizabeth the second being all over the news that we would bring you our coverage of Queen Elizabeth the second.

However, we didn't cover her on the history chicks. We covered her life kind of in a backdoor way because we don't cover people who are still alive.

We talked about her life by covering the Netflix series The Crown.

At the beginning of the season two episode there is a little recap of season one for those of you who hadn't seen season one, including at the time you.

So during this episode we actually go back and give you a little recap of season one.

We did not cover season one. We didn't come to the idea of the recovery until a little bit later.

Maybe someday we will go back. I don't know. So enjoy this first episode of season two and you can follow through the entire season if you like.

So we're going to cover that recap just a little tiny bit to get you up to speed and if you haven't seen season one you should probably go back and see it.

So Elizabeth Papa King George the sixth had become the king of England due to his brother having abdicated the throne unexpectedly.

That's probably enough material for a show all of its own but it's a good thing we already covered that in our podcast the history chicks so just look for Wallace Simpson.

I know King George though they showed him putting the crown on and saying to himself in the mirror now that is a site I never hoped to see.
