Hello everybody how are you doing on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon.

I'm doing just swell. In the past couple of weeks I've had like 18 panic attacks. My digestive

system has just been completely rerouted after watching the Oscars last night. I mean we have to

talk about that first because it is fucking fresh. I have had less than 24 hours to process

what went down last night and I still don't know if I'm able to properly articulate what that was

and why that's such a fucking problem. And I don't know if I'm even in the right position to be

championing anything or anyone but I'm going to give it the old college try and as you know

I didn't go to college. Award season is just embedded in the fabric of my life like I feel like

my family in particular takes the award shows very seriously we typically congregated growing up.

We reviewed the outfits we saw all the films like it's just something that my family has always been

very emotionally and physically invested in. Grandma Gloria my 91 year old Ashkenazi queen grandmother.

She lives for the Oscars. These past two years have been massively difficult for her not because

of a global pandemic where you know people were dying but because she didn't get to see you know

of her satchee gown and critique it from the confines of her town home while she's wearing a

pair of free city sweats. That's what this woman lives for. I feel like the Oscars really bring out

the very definition of pop culture. There is something so timeless nostalgic and necessary about

sitting on your sofa with a scrunchy and a face mask and a shitty cheese plate,

critiquing those who are more talented, more successful and probably better looking than you.

Being like like that hair is so 2002 and by the way Jessica McClintock called and she wants

her fucking prom dress back. I mean what is that and those shoes? Ew ow I don't even like that movie.

Oh wait can you pause this for a second? I need to go check on the DeGorno pizza. Like that is I mean
