The Mysterious Naked Man. You ready for this? I first read this story not too long ago and it had me stunned. It's found

in the book of Mark chapter 14. The background is Jesus is in the garden. The priests and the

soldiers are coming to get him. His disciples are getting ready to run. And then you have one of the

oddest stories in all of scripture.

Mark 14, verse 50, and they all forsook him and fled. And there followed him a certain young man

having a linen cloth cast about his naked body. And the young men laid hold on him him and he left the linen cloth and fled from them

naked. As I was reading this story, I was wondering, as maybe you are as well, who is this naked

man? Why is he nameless? Some scholars believe that this is Mark himself, but it's not actually

proven who he is. I believe that this person is himself, but it's not actually proven who he is. I believe that this

person is nameless because it could possibly fit either you or I. So who is this naked guy that just

runs and why does he run and leave his garments? It reminds me of a scripture in Revelation

Chapter 16. Jesus says these words,

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, lest he walk

naked, and they see his shame. One thing is clear is that God does not want us to be naked.

He wants us to be clothed.

Now, what do these linen garments represent?

In Revelation 19, verse 8, the Bible says,

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen.

That's the same thing that this young man had on in Mark.

Fine linen, clean and white, for fine linen is the righteousness of the saints wow now let's put

this together this man this young man had this white linen on which represents righteousness
