There's a fallacy in fitness that you should survive your workout.

There's some sort of reward in gyms for surviving your workout.

People high-five each other as they peel themselves off the floor.

Why do we celebrate people pushing themselves to the very brink of exhaustion through their workouts?

And that's supposed to show that we're strong enough?

You're not supposed to survive your workouts.

Your workouts are supposed to build you up. Your workouts are supposed to help you go on through your

day to help you make good decisions, to help you feel better, to help you raise your family,

to help you go through your daily tasks, to do better at your job. But if you're crushing yourself with your workouts and you're over-training,

you're going to spend most of your day dealing with pain.

And pain is terrible for the body, but worse for the mind.

It'll exacerbate all of your anxieties.

It'll absorb all of your energy.

If you have a proper strength training regimen, you'll not only build up your body,

but you'll just as well build up your mind. You'll make yourself stronger in all sorts of ways

and discover potential you'd never had before. Barwell training is the greatest tool we have.

To help ourselves become better humans, to cultivate bravery and make better decisions about

our fitness. It'll help you structure your sleep, you'll eat better, and you'll meet all of

your fitness goals a lot faster. Oftentimes, I'll have women walk into the gym and their body

fat is way too low. They've got multiple injuries.
