Appreciate you downloading and listening to the show today. I hope you're subscribed to us on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or whatever platform you're using. And if there's a spot on there to give us a rating and a review, I hope you take a quick second to do that too. Now, today, we're doing something that I don't think we've done in a couple

0:37.9

months here. We're finally opening up the mailbag again. And I'm pretty sure the last one of these that we recorded was around the end of the NFL playoffs. So like January, early February, maybe. And that means I know you have a lot of questions, especially after the NFL draft. So let's see what you got for me here. At Zayflow era.

0:55.2

Hey Justin, per usual, I'm wondering about running backs.

0:58.2

You are stashing in deep, deep dynasty leagues.

1:01.1

Thanks.

1:01.7

So I always love questions like this.

1:03.7

It's always fun just trying to mine for gold and like those really deep dynasty

1:07.6

leagues.

1:08.1

You go into the darkest parts of the waiver wired.

1:10.7

You're trying to

1:11.1

come back with a player who can produce even a little bit down the road for you or increase their

1:15.7

value so you can trade them for something. And this is for deep dynasty leagues. I got to make that

1:20.3

clear. These names are way off the redraft radar. This is just super deep dynasty stashes. And I touched

1:26.6

on a few of them on the last show when I went over the late round rookies that you should target. I mentioned a bunch of late picks and UDFAs that I think you should have on your radar. So for this one, I'm going to go over some veteran backs that I think you could scoop up just in case. And we're talking again about really deep dynasty leagues like the last couple spots on your bench

1:44.9

if you're in 28 man rosters or more that sort of thing just the longest of long shots but you can

1:50.4

at least squint and see a path for them to earn some fantasy value in 2024 and these aren't in any

1:55.8

particular order i'm just going to run through a handful and you can pick who you like the most so

1:59.8

the colts backup job that one remains wide open it's one of the few that's out there where you can still get one of these guys off the waiver wire. So that means Evan Hall and Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson even. They're going to battle it out in camp. And Hall has the most talent. I think he has the most upside. But he did get hurt last year as a rookie, so he still has to prove himself. Sermon actually did pretty well in his relief opportunities last season, so Sermon is out there in a lot of leagues. I think he's the guy that I'd be picking up. And Goodson, he's more of a flyer, but you could grab him too. Deerunis Johnson on the Jags. Now, he was playing over-tank Bigsby last year. I know the coaching staff this offseason, they're saying that Bigsby's going to have more of a role in 2024, but he did not look like somebody who deserved more touches last season. So it's not impossible that Johnson's going to play over him again and could continue to be that number two back in Jacksonville behind Travis Etienne.

2:53.7

Eric Gray on the Giants.

2:55.3

Devin Singletary, he looks like he's going to be the clear starter entering the season.
