Today's question is from John Sherrill. And John says, I'm using Aweber for my email list and just launched it about 10 days ago.

I have 171 confirmed subscribers so far.

Good job, John.

But in checking my subscriber list, I have over 100 additional people who have not confirmed their email.

I'm assuming that it hit their spam folder or maybe they missed the

confirmation email. Do you have any suggestions on how I should approach this? Can I contact these

people directly? I hate to miss that many people who have signed up for my list. All right, John,

so what you're asking basically is can you contact people that have not done the double opt-in?

And what A-Weber does, A-weber collects emails for you on your website and it can deliver a lead magnet or something that you're trying

to bribe people into joining your email list for. And what happens is when they give their

email address, Aweber sends them a message that says, click this link to confirm

that you really want to subscribe it. That way it prevents people from just, you know, I just use

my friend's email to sign up for everything and he gets signed up for all these lists. It has to

be double confirmed. And what John is saying here is that he has 171 people who have given him

the email address. They've clicked, confirm,

and now they are on his list, so to speak. But there's a hundred people who've put their email in

and hit, I want the free product or I want to join your newsletter, I want to join your email list.
