0:59.0	So I guess I'll just start at the very beginning.
1:03.0	So I'm Chinese American, but I was born in Hong Kong
1:06.6	and my parents brought me here when I was one.
1:09.4	So I grew up in a suburb outside of LA,
1:16.4	and I've always been interested in medicine. I even brought an artificial heart valve for show and tell in the first grade so I've always
1:21.6	been a nerd and so that was kind of my path from the very beginning. I loved science and biology and then being able to pair that with being able to care for people on the altruistic side of medicine really was what

1:39.2	So I went to UCLA for an undergrad degree in biology and then I went out to New York for medical school at the
1:46.6	Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.
