Not going to lie. For the purpose of this story, I want you to think a unilateral withdrawal of public resources.

So I went to a local city council meeting a week ago, right?

They were deliberating, taking away the public transportation system in the city,

which voters had consistently voted through a millage, which happens during elections,

to keep around like 75% to 25% for the last like like, decade. Okay. They voted every single time, every four years, to keep the millage alive. In 2022, it was going to be the next election for where they would vote on the millage again to see if it would be approved and it was going to be because people like public transit. It's good for people. Helps the community. Let's people get to work. lets people travel to like Detroit, Pontiac, etc. Uh-huh. You get the idea.

So tell me why. 25 people are at the city council meeting. The city council room, the city hall is full. 25 people are speaking. Every single person that spoke for public transit. They wanted to keep it around. They said, I don't mind using my tax dollars for this. It helps me get around. I'm an old person. I need the buses. Yeah. I need to be able to travel. Everyone likes this service. Even if I don't use it personally, it's important, right? And, you know, the city I was in, Auburn Hills, has a university.
