We're going to talk mostly today about this brewing budget showdown. It kind of gets lost in a way that it's a budget showdown.

Technically, this is a, you know, this shutdown question that is timed for the end of the month,

the end of September is actually a continuing resolution because I don actually a continuing resolution. Because I don't even,

you know, I don't, I kind of understand it once I think about it. But I'm, I'm, I'm,

it's a little unclear to me why we're even doing it. Since you have unified government,

so why aren't we on regular budgeting? You know, why are we still doing

continuing resolutions? But we are doing continuing resolutions. And because of these rules in the

Senate that we know about, you want to do continuing resolution as opposed to a budget, which gets you,

you know, reconciliation rules and all that kind of stuff,

that you could just have majority rule in the Senate, which in fact you should have anyway,

that because of the rules for a continuing resolution, they need 60 votes, which means that they

need seven Democrats, which gives Democrats one of these, you know,

once a season, twice a year, something like that, situations when they actually have some power

where Republicans, if they want to keep the government open, if they want to keep funding the
