There has always been a battle between light and darkness.

Satan hates God and fights against his work.

It is vital that God's people recognize their place in this conflict

and are equipped for spiritual warfare in our day. Let's join Scott Pauli now

as we open God's word and prepare for the front lines. The last time we studied in Ephesians

chapter 6, we learned that God has given us one thing to do in this spiritual war that we're in, and that is stand.

But today we learn how.

Aren't you happy that the God who gives commands equips us to fulfill those commands?

That he never asks us to do something, that it does not

give himself as the resource to get it done. In Ephesion 6, verse 10, we read this,

finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. And then this famous

statement in verse number 11, put on the whole armor of god that you may be

able to stand against the wiles of the devil it repeats it again in verse 13 wherefore take unto you

the whole armor of god that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand in other words

the ability to stand comes from him the strength to stand comes from him the equipment the soldier

needs to stand it all comes from him and i think one of the operative words here is the word whole

put on the whole armor of god there is a temptation as we

look at each individual piece of the armor to think that one can be separated from another but in fact

every one of them are essential and they're all connected to one another and by the time we're done today

i hope you'll understand why that is you don't need one part of it you don't need one piece of it
