Coming to you from Portland, Oregon on Friday, April 22nd, 2016. We lost another giant from the music world yesterday.

Prince died at the age of 57.

I'm hearing now at some sort of prescription drug overdose.

Unfortunately, I mean, anyway, for him to die at 57 is no good.

He, of course, is a star of the movie Purple Rain, which I am actually watching on VH1 right now.

It's far from perfect, but it is perfectly entertaining.

And every song in it is great, including the Apollonia Sex Shooter song and the Morse Day and the Times songs.

Also Prince had what I think was the best Super Bowl halftime show, if not the best, one of the best ones.

I only got to see him live in concert once,

but that was a great show.

And I saw him in person once walking in a hallway

in a movie theater.

Tiny dude.

And I couldn't think of anything to say to him

or any reason to say something to him. Anyway, enjoy the afterlife, Prince.

Go crazy.

I'm hoping the pre-show music at my 5 o'clock Earth Day happy hour show today at Helium here in Portland will be all Prince music, including Manic Monday by the Bengals.

Saturday and Sunday, I've got sold-out shows at Helium in Portland, and then Monday's Douglowe's movies in New York City is sold out,

but there's some tickets available for the Wednesday night,

Doug Loves Movies, at the Gramercy Theater.
