The birch show. Good morning. It's Monday. I was gonna say happy Monday, and I was like, you know, let's just not force it.

Um, birth's gonna be out today because he has COVID. Um, I took a test this morning. I'm negative, Mo.

I took a test as well. I'm also negative. I saw everybody in our group text sending text messages this morning. Everybody's negative.

But um, if you live in Atlanta where we're based, there's an accident on 285. So that's why Tommy and Cassie are not here yet.

Makes sense. Okay. It's Monday. Yep.

All right. So, um, we need to catch up with our birch show listener whose dad is too critical of her husband.

And she didn't know how to have the conversation with her dad, even though she's told him several times to back off.

But essentially what her dad is doing is just not even being passive aggressive, but always finding fault with her husband.

Even in minor things like the way he dresses and he's constantly making comments about her husband not earning enough

or not doing enough to take care of her. And he even once criticized him about how he was holding their baby.

No personal. It felt very personal. And her husband is now, he had been putting up with it,

but now he's really frustrated and he's actually angry with the constant criticism. It's not only, you know,

put a strain on his relationship with the family, but it's starting to put a strain on the relationship with her.

And they have a new baby in the mix. And she loves her father. Doesn't want to hurt him, but of course loves her husband.

Mm-hmm. It was trying to figure out she's stuck in the middle of these two. What can I do to, you know, make this work?

Can I have any advice? And I think all of us were like, you got to stand up to pops. Yeah.

Like hardcore stand up to pops and set some boundaries.

Specifically with them both in the room. I like that idea of doing it when they're both there at the same time to see it.

Husband can see you stand up for him and then dad can see you stand up to him for your husband. I like that idea.

Um, so yeah, we were pretty much all on the same page. And uh, now we just have to figure out what she decided to do.
