Happy Wednesday morning.

I got a special for you today.

It's a two-parter episode today, a part one and part two.

There's not a, don't worry, I don't have a cliffhanger, if you will.

But it's in two parts because in some ways, they're related conversations on the current

moment that we're having involving the Donald Trump's takeover, at least temporary takeover

of the D.C. Police Department and the surging of putting the National Guard, surging of

federal resources in the cities. And I sort of, I have two separate interviews.

One today that are dropping.

One is with a woman by the name of Janessa Goldbeck.

She's a Marine Corps veteran.

She runs a veteran-focused, nonprofit now about getting in, you know, getting veterans to

engage in civics, essentially, to get engaged in public service after their service.

And she wants to raise the alarm about, and is a fierce opponent of the idea of using the military as a domestic police force and sort of the potential that that has the negative consequences that could have,

how that can create more politicizing in the military, sort of create.

And the last thing we want is a polarized military.

We have a polarized military.

You know, you go to other countries where the military basically takes a political side,

and you have no democracy, right you the republic is gone

on that front so um it's it's uh in that sense that's that's part one of the conversation i have
