and that is, I reassure my anxious kids all the time.

I want to talk to you about why it's not helpful.

Yeah, we all do it.

If you have a heart and you have a pulse, you're going to reassure your anxious kids because it's

what we do. I mean, how can you have a child who's anxious or is having an

O. C. D. moment and not try to provide reassurance. But what I want to talk about

helpful or is there something better that we all can be doing.

This is kind of a weird topic, but I feel like it's relevant because I see so many families in my practice

who are constantly providing reassurance to their kids and it's not helping and I see my own struggles of course at home and I

always like to I guess throw myself under the bus and talk about my mistakes and

the things that I'm experiencing as a parent and not as a therapist.
