So today's topic came up because somebody in my private Facebook group was talking about how to parent their child with OCD.

And it's a common question that I get a lot because how to handle ritualistic behavior is counterintuitive.

And so a lot of times what parents think is being a good parent

is actually harming their child's progress with OCD.

And so I want to get into that today

because I feel like that's a common struggle

I see in my practice as well.

As far as, you know, what do you do when your child is

having all these compulsions are you supposed to give in are you supposed to not

give him and unfortunately most of the time, kids with OCD

will involve their parents on some level
