But I trust you won't take issue with that when I tell you,

this week's entertainment is The Last Sayons, written by one Dame Agatha Christie,

Queen of Crime, and, according to the book of Guinness World Records,

the best-selling fiction writer of all time,

and novels having sold to the tune of over two billion copies

and subsequently being some of the most translated works in literature.

If you've listened to episode 683 of this podcast,

you'll know that she was born in 1890 and died in 1976,

having written a vast number of books, articles, plays, short stories, and so on.

I won't bore you by reiterating her huge list of accomplishments,

award wins, nominations, and other accolades,

but suffice to say from a literary perspective,

Christie more than earned her place in history,

and her appeal continues to endure.
