Hello everyone, welcome to Sudapod the Weekly Horror Podcast.

I'm Alistair, your host and congratulations to all on Team Tanticle on this our 15th anniversary.

So many people have come through the show over the years Ben and Alex and Sean and Kat and

Scott and Chelsea and Marty and every slush we've ever had, every narrator we've ever

featured, every author whose work we've run, every listener we've ever ensnared in this

surely the most wonderful net of Tanticles in horror fiction.

Thank you all so much for the roles that you have played and continue to play in the

production and existence of this show.

I say existence, I mean dread on life but you know what I mean when I say dread on life.

I love this job and I love this team purely and completely and the education this show has

given and continues to give me is life changing and this week's story is a perfect example

of that.

It comes to us from Clark Ashton Smith.

Born January 13th 1893, died August 14th 1961, was a self-educated American poet, sculpted

a painter, an author of fantasy horror and SF short stories.

He was one of the big three of weird tales of the time but has often been, I feel unfairly
