This week's author is Margaret Irwin, who was born in 1889 and died in 1967.

She was an English historical novelist who wrote a factual biography of Sir Walter Raleigh.

Her novels were esteemed for the accuracy of their historical research, and she became a noted authority on the Elizabethan and early Stuart eras. Irwin wrote several ghost stories,

including the book, and the earlier service, as well as two fantasy novels. Still, she wished for

company about a magical time slip, and these mortals, an adult fairy tale about a wizard's daughter.
