Your first author, Jocelyn, Henry, Clive, Harry Graham,

was a successful journalist and later, after distinguished military service, leading

lyricists for operettists and musical comedies. He is now best remembered as a writer of humor's

verse in the style of grotesquery and black humor. S. L. Dennis was an English writer active

in the early 20th century, who was best known for the second

awakening of a magician, which was also published in the 1931 anthology, Great Short

Stories of Detection, Mystery, and Horror, second series, edited by famous writer of detective
