Hello, my dear friends, and welcome back to Unchaken.

I'm Jared Halverson, and this is our third and final week of choir practice.

Or maybe this is addition rehearsal.

Because if we are auditioning for the heavenly choir,

there's no better way to prepare for that than by studying the Psalms.

Remember that the song of the righteous is apparent to me,

and it's the song of the heart that the Lord delights in.

So no worries about vocal quality.

If you're worried about making the cut.

When I was in college, I dreamed of being part of the OU's Men's Chorus.

It's such an incredible group of singers.

And I went and auditioned before the incredible Mac Wilberg,

who is now the main conductor for the Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square.

I guess it was one of the thrills of my singing career, short-lived as it's been,

to sing into the open ear of Mac Wilberg.

I obviously didn't sing it well enough for him to let me into the choir.

Oh well, my younger brother made it past that hurdle,
