Hi there, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I pray you through the Bible

verse by verse. It's such a joy to do so. And I just want to pray for someone grieving right now.

Lord Jesus, in our culture, we think we should be over a death in a week and that is simply not true it takes so

so long to move through the the contours of grief and so lord i pray for my friend who is carrying

that heavy weight right now and i pray that you would be the lifter of their grief i pray that you

would carry them through this i pray that you would send grieving friends who wouldn't try to make them

get over something quickly, but would sit with them in their grief. Lord, thank you that you are a man

of sorrows acquainted with grief and that you grieve alongside us. And thank you for that in Jesus' name.
