Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially for Eli Skok, a three-year-old who is in

ICU at Children's Mercy at this moment for his full and complete recovery for the strengthening

and peace of his parents and family.

God is our father and he is guiding all things to our greatest good.

We call this divine providence. In the end, the only thing we can rely upon is our father.

Turn then to him and rely on him, because living by divine providence is the key to peace.

Therefore I want to give you four principles of divine providence to live by in these times. The first of these principles is that everything which

comes to pass has been foreseen by God from all eternity and has been willed or at least permitted by him.

Everything that happens, physically, morally, or spiritually, God has foreseen it from all eternity. He is outside of time and he has nothing to learn from

events as they occur. With him, there is no passing from ignorance to knowledge as with us.

but whatever evil or permitted. Holy scripture is explicit on this point and the church and her teaching has declared and there is no room that is left for
