In the scriptures that says this, Proverbs 169, in their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

I really like this verse.

This is a part of our 21 days of prayer, a part of the Mosaic community, our church in Los Angeles that we get to both be a part of.

And yesterday I had the honor of getting to host.

And it's the first time I've hosted in Los Angeles in probably five years or maybe once once or twice in those five years, but it felt special to be there.

And what I love about this verse specifically is at the end of 2024, that season between Christmas and New Year's, I took the time.

I didn't go out. I didn't do anything outside of just focus on planning for 2025 in Los Angeles with our team,

with our amazing crew, with our videographers and our editors and our creatives and our leaders

and our business.

And what happened in like the first week of 2025, Los Angeles was set on fire.

We had multiple fires all over the city. There was a fire right

behind Mosaic's location in Hollywood at that point. And I remember me and one of our guys, Austin,

we were trying to get everything out of the offices. And I just remember coming back after that

season, going back to God and going, God, I set all these plans. And I said all of these

goals and I had all the structure and what happened. God, why did you, why did you forsake me?

And I think this verse is such, I think so many of us can have those moments in our lives, right,

where we feel like we set out our plans, our goals, but God had a different

plan for us. God had different steps planned for us. And another thing that I remembered is that

being present where God has planned for me to be is really helpful. That sometimes we wonder

why we're in the situation we are in. Sometimes it's our choice. Sometimes it's God has places
