Well, welcome everybody to Hax on Tap.

I'm your co-host, Mike Murphy.

And this week we're going to do something a little different, little special.

Let me tell you what's going on.

My erstwhile podcasting partner in podcasting crime, fellow hacker,

David Axelrod is on assignment as we say.

So he's not here this week.

And the original plan would be to get one of our rotating guests of expert

political hacks to do this.

But with Ax gone, so is the adult supervision.

So we're hijacking the show slightly today to try out one idea,

just a kind of special show for a tough moment in time here in the United States of America.

You know, we're all exhausted, pandemic, the horrific murder of George Floyd and Minneapolis.

We have protests mostly peaceful and quite inspiring around the country.

We have had violence.

We've had the president using federal force and troops to clear a square outside the White House

with a long history of being a place of protest,

or to do a photo op and then going increasingly crazy about it.

It's just an exhausting time.

So I thought this week, we're talking some politics,
