As I predicted on Friday, we were treated to another weekend of lawless behaviour, thuggery and downright anarchy on the streets of this country.

A policewoman lies in a hospital bed with a collapsed lung and multiple other injuries,

thanks to the

violent disorder that rained down upon Downing Street and other parts of central London on Saturday

night. A statue of Edward Colston lies at the bottom of a harbour in Bristol after an act of criminal

damage, unhindered by police officers, a group of demonstrators were allowed to climb onto the statue,

attach ropes to it, and then pull it

to the ground before dragging it through the streets.

The police stood by and watched it happen.

They explained later that to have interfered might have caused more trouble.

They took the same approach in London when more marauding protesters desecrated the senator

with spray paint and someone tried to burn the Union flag.

It's a miracle.

The Churchill statue remains in place

and it's no thanks for the police who appears to have turned into nothing more than superannuated

supermarket security guards. It isn't good enough and it's absolutely criminal that the actions

of the mob are now being fully endorsed by senior Labour Party MPs. Where on earth is it going to end?
