We're going to talk about Los Angeles today, and we are going to talk about everything coming out of, you know, it's, I sort of struggled to think about what to start with, because what you start with sort of defines how you see it. And I was going to say, you know, we're going to talk about the protests and the National Guard and the Marines.

But, of course, it doesn't start with the protests. It starts with these ice raids

in Los Angeles. I'm not sure they're all, you know, Los Angeles is sort of a funny city that

it kind of blends out into other jurisdictions and so forth. But I think the initial

protests were fairly organic. They were in reaction to these

raids. And I'm sure you've all seen it, but you have these highly militarized ice squads.

You know, one of the places they went was a Home Depot. The Home Depot thing

itself is very telling because, you know, what are you doing there? This is, you know,

I don't know if it's every part of the country. Some of you know, I grew up in the greater Los Angeles area.

But Hohom Depot is a place where you have day laborers.

It's a place for day laborers to find contractors to work for and vice versa.
