| 0:57.3 | That'll be segment number three. Segment number two, you'll hear from Lindsay Rhodes from sumersports.com. We'll continue our conversation about the NFL draft and turning our attention to it and what the Raiders should do. And the dilemma that they're at now that they don't have that number 14 overall pick, what do they do in round number two? We'll keep that discussion going in segment number two. Here in segment number one, news and notes of the day, and we'll just go ahead and jump right into it. And I'll tell you, the last few weeks has been a roller coaster affair. We've talked about it quite a bit, even though this offseason for the Raiders has been very productive, been very efficient. even with the whole Max Crosby situation, feel like John Spitek and the organization held it down pretty well. |
| 1:32.8 | But Max Crosby finally took to his podcast and shared his side of the story. |
| 1:36.3 | And I always encourage you to go check out his podcast, The Rush Podcast, really good stuff. |
| 1:41.1 | I didn't bring any sound from that show to this show because I just want you to go ahead and listen to it for yourself. But he did discuss what happened his side of things when he got to Baltimore, how he got to Baltimore, and a little bit more. So I'll go ahead and read you just a little bit of what Mad Max Crosby had to say. He said the Ravens flew him to DC on Monday. Then he had to drive the Baltimore. He didn't meet with head coach Jesse Minter and GM Eric DeCosta until the end of the day after he had his physical and MRI. He said, I didn't see Eric DeCosta for five hours. He said the energy was off when he finally met Mentor and Eric DeCoste informed him that one of the doctors had concerns with his knee and was going to get more opinions. When Crosby went back to the hotel, his agent told him that they think Baltimore will back out of the deal. And then a member from the Ravens called Crosby and said that they were going to get the deal done. Five minutes later, Crosby received a call from his agent saying Baltimore had backed out of the deal. He said, no one will ever admit what the real truth is. ultimately doesn't matter. I'm where I'm supposed to be. That's what Max Crosby said. Just part of what he said, a small portion of what he had to say on the Rush podcast. And there was a lot of, you know, clips from that show floating around on social media on Tuesday. Everyone was talking about it. And from the most part, it really came out to be a really bad look for the Baltimore Ravens. Now, at the end of the day, they're not going to care. |
| 2:53.9 | They don't care if be a really bad look for the |
| 2:51.2 | Baltimore Ravens. Now at the end of the day, they're not going to care. They don't care if it's a bad look. They don't care if it was dirty or Bush League like I called it. At the end of the day, they got a player in Trey Hendrickson that they feel comfortable moving forward with. They didn't have to give two first round picks and then go ahead and address whatever they have to address. So they're fine with it. It doesn't matter if they look like the bad guys, if they look like they were shady. |
| 3:09.9 | None of that matters. But, you know, Max gives a little bit of his side of the story. So again, if you want to hear the full meal deal, I definitely encourage you to go check out his latest edition of the Rush podcast. But I found it to be pretty interesting that he spoke on it and said that the energy |
| 3:24.3 | was off when he finally met Mentor and Eric DeCosta. And I saw some say that, yeah, that he had to fly into, you know, fly into D.C. Because that was the only direct flight that's on a chartered flight. So he wasn't going to be able to just fly into B more unless he was on some commercial airlines. So whatever the case may be, semantics, this, that, and the other, it just seems like that there was some hesitation. And like I said, some, you know, maybe some buyer's remorse by the time the Ravens got Max Crosby into Baltimore and got him into their building. So like I said, go ahead and check that out for yourself and get your own conclusion. |
| 3:58.7 | But it's good to hear from Max what he had to say. I also like what he said. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. I'm where I'm supposed to be. And that's, I'm sure, music to the ears of Raider Nation. Also, on Tuesday, Thomas Booker, he resigned. Remember, he was a restricted free agent. he returns for his second season with the silver and black. |
| 4:15.1 | He was acquired by way of trade with the Eagles before the season during 2025's training camp in his first season with the Raiders. He played in 17 games, 13 starts, 44 tackles, seven quarterback hits, one force fumble, one fumble recovery, and five passes defense. I like Thomas Booker. I know a lot of people weren't very high on the move when the Raiders traded Jacorian Bennett to Philly and got Thomas Booker back in return. My guy Mike Gill from ESPN there in Atlantic City told me that I was going to like him. He's a really good player that just needs opportunities. And I think that he proved that. Jacorian Bennett did a whole lot of nothing in Philadelphia last last year, even though I was a big fan of J.B. |
| 4:48.6 | Like what Thomas Booker was able to do and think that he'll probably have even more bigger of a role. That's not right. Even bigger of a role, I should say, in 2026, moving forward with Robbie Leonard, obviously knowing him very well as a former defensive line coach, now turned defensive coordinator. So nice to see Thomas Booker back and seeing the Raiders continuing to address the roster. |
| 5:07.5 | And as I mentioned on Monday. as a former defensive line coach, now turned defensive coordinator. So nice to see Thomas Booker back and seeing the Raiders continuing to address the roster. |
