A couple rule proposals have been submitted, how they could affect the Raiders and others if they are approved at the owner's meetings at the end of the month.

and who he can be we'll do that in segment number two Here is segment number one news and notes of the day. We'll go ahead and jump right into it. And on Wednesday, the league announced that only two teams submitted proposals. That'll be considered by owners at the league meetings later this month. That's March 29th through April 1st in Phoenix. I've been to the owners meetings before. It's actually a pretty cool event. All the coaches and the GMs are there and they sit down on a roundtable like a breakfast type situation. You get to sit there and, you know, pepper the coaches with some questions, probably about 10, 15 minutes at a time. They're all at their separate tables. And a matter of fact, a few years ago, that's when everyone found out that Lamar Jackson was requesting a trade from the Baltimore Ravens. If you remember that, John Harbaugh literally had sat down at the table, at the breakfast table, and all of a sudden, someone said, hey, on Twitter, Lamar Jackson's asking for a trade. That was the owner meeting in Phoenix. That's when the last time I went, it was Joshman Daniels and Dave Ziegler. They were there representing the Raiders.

Obviously,

a lot of change since then, but it is coming up at the end of the month. So the two rule proposals

that have been thrown out there, one by the Pittsburgh Steelers, to make permanent the change

implemented during the 2025 season that permits clubs to have one video or phone call

with no more than five prospective unrestricted free agents during the two-day negotiating period

and to permit clubs to make travel arrangements with such players upon agreeing to terms.

I don't have a problem with that rule.

What I have a problem with is the two-day tampering period.

That's what they're talking about.

And so this past year during the legal tampering period, when the Raiders were talking to

Tyler Lindembaum, when they were talking to Quitty Pay, when they were talking to Quay Walker,

making, you know, coming to agreements, that, that's the window that they're talking about

where you can get on a video call or a phone call for what, one hour long and do that

with up to five prospective, you know, unrestricted free agents. I don't have any problem with that,

but I just don't like the two-day tampering period. It's only been a thing since 2012. I just think
