This month of Awesome Marriage, we're talking about guarding your marriage online. The internet and technology is a wonderful thing,

but for all of its wonder and usefulness, it also has a dark side. Because technology

and the internet is so infused in our daily lives, we have to put up smart boundaries in place

to guard our marriage

from the temptation and the evil parts of it. Each week on the podcast, we are going to be sharing

one way to guard your marriage online this month. Today, we're going to be talking specifically

about protecting your marriage from porn. So Dr. Kim, before we get started, I feel like it's

really important to just kind of define what porn is, because these days, porn isn't just something that you buy that's literally labeled pornography or porn.

And so it's often in a lot of unexpected places and it's widely accepted by the world.

And so what is porn for our purposes today, Dr. Kim?

I think that in itself is a really good question.

I was thinking about this morning, I was working out.

And I was just thinking, really porn is more in the eye of the beholder, what it does to your heart.

So if your only definition of porn is some video you watch with two people having sex in it. Sure, that's porn. But porn can be

laundra ads. porn can be, you know, magazines, and they don't have to be men's magazines.

I mean, anything that gets you distracted from your spouse. And so I mean, so I think it's it for me, when we look at it for marriage,

it's a little broader definition than what we would usually look at it

because I see how it affects marriages.
