Well, anyway, I want to just mention one more thing, and it's actually what I want to talk about today.

Last week, I posted on YouTube the video of my daughter Sabia singing the anthem at the U.S. Tennis Open in New York.

Let me just say quickly and even parenthetically that nobody took a knee when my daughter stood

and sang America the Beautiful.

In fact, they had their hands on their hearts.

I wanted to give a shout out to everyone for all the kind words and comments. Actually, this again, as I mentioned, is what I sense the Lord

would have me to talk about today, namely that of what is really behind the recent protests

during the singing of our national anthem.

I have to confess that I found myself this last week doing a double take of sorts

concerning this unbelievable controversy.

It might have to do with the powerful emotions that I have as an daughter singing America the beautiful in the America that my parents fled the Middle East to come to.

And for the life of me, I can't imagine why it is that anybody would want to be dismissive of

and disrespectful of what our flag and this nation stands for.

It's really ironic to me because the very thing that they're doing is the very

thing that they were afforded the freedom to do by the very people that they are protesting

and the very flag that represents the people that they are protesting. I just, again, have to confess that I was so shaken, I guess, for lack of a better word, by this,

that I had to go to the Lord, and I had to say, okay, Lord, first of all, I'm an emotional guy anyway,

but why do I have such powerful emotions concerning this?

And what the Lord administereded to me was that I love this country,

but I have to loosen my grip on our beloved United States of America.
