So for today's prophecy update, I want to begin by having you join me in the second chapter of Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians.

If you could turn there now and we'll be there in just a moment.

Second Thessalonians chapter 2. What I want to talk about today is what I see as

this unrighteous deception and with it this strong delusion that is increasingly at work today in the world

and it's the likes of which I believe we've never seen before.

I'm hoping that you'll kindly allow me to argue the case of said deception and delusion as evidence proving beyond any reasonable doubt just how close we really are to the Lord's return.

Please know that, and I think you know, I hope you know this about me, that I shy away from ever talking about dates. I never want to be among those who still today

try to set dates. The Lord's coming back on this date. And I also hope you know this about me,

that while I know the Lord could come at any time, I'm still going to occupy until he comes.

I think one of the things that has maybe saying grieve my heart is too strong, maybe not.

But it's when I hear somebody say, you know, I'm not going to do

this because the Lord's going to come back. Okay, the Lord didn't say that. The Lord said,

Occupy until I come. Be busy about the Lord's business until I come.

If we as a church, think about this, if we as a church had that mindset, we wouldn't be sitting

in this beautiful church building.

Why go through that?

And I'll tell you, we went through that.

The leadership of this church

will bear witness that for two years, it was brutal. I now know why pastors don't want to do

building projects. They're very hard. And hey, if the Lord's going to come back, what's the use?

Why bother?

I'm not going to go to college.
