So tonight we're going to start in the new book of Ezra as we make our trek through

the Bible, book by book and chapter by chapter, verse by verse.

I actually went back into my archives to see when we started in the book of Genesis. So we started in Genesis, then Exodus,

Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, judges, Ruth, 1st and 2nd Samuel, 1st and 2nd Kings.

We just finished 1st and 2nd Chronicles, and now the next book is Ezra, which we're going to start

tonight. And I found that we started

Genesis 1 on October 4th of 2007. So I did the math. At this rate, we will finish the Bible

in 55 years.

So I just wanted you to know, actually, it won't be that bad because, well, like the

book of Ezra, it's a much shorter book.

We get into the, I can't wait for the book of Nehemiah.

I am just so excited about what the Lord has for us in the book of Nehemiah.

And then after the book of Nehemiah is the book of Esther. And you all know about the book of Esther and Hamann and Mordecai and how God used Esther as the queen to save the Jewish people, just miraculously.

Such a powerful book, just chock full of so many lessons and applications.

Bud's Thursday teaching? Wow, I watched it on

YouTube. If you haven't seen this, you need to. Listen, he takes you through all 66 books of the

Bible in 54 minutes. That alone is a feat. I don't think I could do that. It would probably take me 54

hours to go through all 66 books. But he does this overview of the entire Bible, book by book,

starting in Genesis all the way through to Revelation. And I would argue that it was probably one of the best

and most concise overviews of the entire Bible that I've ever heard. And I think it's

really apropos because as we start this new book, I think it would be a good opportunity

...
