Okay, friends, 1st Peter 2, the Apostle Peter has been writing to a Jewish audience who have become Christians.

So get that straight in your mind for a moment.

These are people who used to follow all of the traditions of Judaism, the sacrifices, the temple rituals, all of those things.

But now they've placed their faith in Jesus

as their Messiah. And he says here in verse 12, keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable.

Now, the Gentiles were basically anybody who wasn't a Jew. And in this case, anybody who isn't a Jew and isn't a Christian
