Bob Wushugent is going to join us from ESPN. He's going to, he's been covering a lot of the NHL playoffs, calling a lot of games. Can't wait to have them on to kind of preview this weekend's playoff games as well. Nick, let's start off though, the NBA. Let's start as we typically do this time of year. Last night, Cleveland fell short to Detroit.

0:55.9

They're down to nothing in that series.

0:58.4

It was if you're on the narrative streets,

1:00.5

it was another bad James Hardin playoff game.

1:05.2

Who could have seen this coming, Jeff?

1:07.0

James Hardin coming up short in a big spot for the cavaliers.

1:09.9

Well, apparently I did not see it coming because I was on the Cavs to at least cover the three and a half last night. And I thought in a lot of ways, Jeff, this mirrored what we saw in game one of the series. You know, the Cavs didn't dig themselves quite as big of a hole as they did early on last night. But just still waiting for the Cavaliers offense to show up. I mean, not even getting to 100 points. You know, it gets a Detroit team that obviously has played really well defensively all year, but showed a lot of cracks in round one against Orlando. I was really up the belief that this would be a much stiffer test. And it just hasn't. It just hasn't so far. And a big part of the reason for that. As you said, Jeff, has been James Hardin. I mean, this was, this was on the short list. He's had a lot of candidates over the years for his worst playoff game. This was way up there. 10 points on 3 of 13 shooting for brutal turnovers. He was 2 of 10 from the field in the first half when the Cavs just desperately needed anybody other than Donovan Mitchell to contribute. Then he comes out, takes only three shots in the second half, at one of the worst turnovers you will ever see with about 30 seconds left in the game, just dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, and just lost control of the ball. Cabs were down six at that point, absolutely needed a bucket where the game was basically over and the game was over after that. So again,

2:18.3

followed kind of a similar script to game one. Cavs got off to a slow start, had to rally back. And once again, they did do that. That's the thing. Like for as ugly as it's been so far for Cleveland, Jeff, they were in position to potentially win or at least cover this game and just could not get buckets down the stretch. Cab's led with 80 led by two points, I should say,

2:35.8

81.79 with 10 minutes left, gave up back to back buckets to Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson, never let again the rest of the way. I don't know where you go from here. If you're Cleveland, man. I mean, obviously we would normally say, well, James Hardin's got to be better. We've been saying that for 17 years, man. We've been saying it for 17 years. I don't know if I actually expect him to be better as this series, series shifts to Cleveland. Yeah. And maybe it's just getting back home. I wonder how much that has to do with it there. But I mean, how many times do we have to go down this narrative? Regular season James versus playoff James.

3:09.4

It seems like this is a continual thing that we have to deal with every single year.

3:14.1

And here we are.

3:16.1

Let's give some flowers out while we're throwing stones too.

3:18.6

How about Detroit?

3:19.3

How about Tobias Harris with yet another 20 plus point game?

3:22.2

I mean, this guy has been magic in the playoffs here against the magic and then now against

3:27.2

Cleveland, you know, but with, but without him.
