0:29.7	fully charged plus podcast. So here's a thing we've talked a lot on the fully charged show over
0:36.3	the last 12 years about Norway because of what they're doing with electric vehicles and renewable
0:43.7	energy which we kind of don't harp on about enough but we should because that's very important
0:48.1	reason as to why they've done so well with electric cars. We've talked great deal about China,
0:54.1	talked to my great deal about the Netherlands, about Denmark, you know, wind, solar, and I
0:59.3	talked about even Australia because of my connection with that country. We've never, I don't
1:05.9	think we've even mentioned British Columbia. West in Canada we haven't, I think I might have
1:14.4	moaned about the Alberta tar sands, might have been critical of that but not British Columbia. I
1:20.8	didn't even know about British Columbia. Basically if you think of Norway, why has Norway got a
1:25.7	load of renewable electricity? All of it is renewable. It's because they've got lots of mountains,
1:30.4	lots of lakes, lots of rivers, lots of snow and rain and not that many people. Think of British
1:37.5	Columbia is exactly the same. It's three times the size of the United Kingdom. It has a population
1:42.8	of five million. The UK has a population of 62 million. So we're a bit more crowded than they are
1:51.5	in British Columbia. It's a beautiful city. I've been there once many years ago. I'm really looking
1:56.2	forward to going back. Now why am I going back? It's because in late September of 2023,
2:01.6	fully charged live Canada will be coming from Vancouver and I am really, really looking forward
2:09.1	to it. It's going to be amazing. Now, a couple of very brief facts. 98% of the electricity
2:16.7	in British Columbia is renewable. It's hydroelectric and wind and some solar. A lot of wind now,
2:23.4	not so much solar but they do have solar and people are installing solar because when it isn't
2:29.2	snowing in British Columbia, it is quite sunny. I know because I've been there in the summer and
2:34.8	it was very warm, very sunny. They've had to make extreme weather, really horrendous extreme weather
