As we navigate through the construct of white superiority, which has taught us to separate, predetermine and label, we must be cognizant on our spiritual journeys to actively question how we take up and offer space towards creating healthy co-existing environments.
Daniel Sannito (them/they/their) is one of the 7 co-founders of the Trans Yoga Project, a group of wellness educators committed to creating equitable and affirming spaces for trans and queer communities. In today’s episode, Daniel speaks eloquently about the day-to-day sacrifices needed for them to live in their truth. Sannito offers insight to those who may question how we can make the vulnerable spaces around us more inviting for everyone.
Our spiritual work is rooted in our experience and the further we investigate and proactively play a role in changing what once was; we can commit to being co-creators vs giving in to the construct that was never designed for everyone.
In closing Devi’s Soul Work offers a quiet moment and an exercise for us all to sit with the question, is there anywhere in your life, that you take away from someone’s experience to be themselves?
