I think she knew that she felt like that would be, felt too much pressure for Kaylee. But she,

but she was really, you know, talked to her a lot before. And I think Kaylee got a lot of

the way she speaks and just her, just her essence from

talking to Priscilla. And then when Priscilla saw it, and she was moved by it and said,

that was my life. That's what I felt. Like it was like, that was such a big moment for me to hear

that.

Based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley, the film tells the story of how the young Priscilla met Elvis Presley, chronicling their legendary relationship and marriage.

In addition to Priscilla, Coppola's other directorial credits include the feature films,

The Virgin Suicides, The Beguiled, Marie Antoinette, and Somewhere.

She was nominated for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for her 2003 feature, Lost in Translation,

and was also nominated in the Variety Talk News Sports Specials category for her work on 2015's

A Very Merry Christmas.

Following a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Coppola spoke with director Celine's song about filming Priscilla.
