On today's show, we're going to explore Jets players on the offensive side of the ball who are about to hit free agency.

We'll talk about depth players and which, if any, of those backups the Jets should prioritize

bringing back. We'll talk about a dilemma the Jets have on their offensive line and whether

one or two guards about to hit free agency could help

them solve it. But we'll begin by talking about the best Jets player who's about to hit free agency,

that is Brees Hall. When you're in a position like the Jets are, it's really challenging. Jets have

one of the least talented rosters in the NFL. And that means that you typically need to be aggressive in adding

better players. But there's a challenge that's under the radar in situations like this that we don't

think about all that often. Your first job is to not get worse. Because even if you don't have a

super talented roster, if you have starters who are hitting free agency, they need to be either resigned or replaced.

And even if you have a starter who's not that great, if he leaves in free agency, odds are you've downgraded your team.

The reason he was a starter is he was better than the alternatives on your roster.

He was better than the backup players.

Brees Hall is better than that.

Brees Hall is a very good back, and he's about to hit free agency this offseason.

I think he's as close to a must-keep as the Jets have this year.
