Hi everybody. Welcome to the Women's Dating and Confidence Podcast. My name is Amber, and today we're going to talk about prioritizing dating. Before we get into that, I want to share with you my free guide called

in the show notes of this episode. So the topic of prioritizing dating came up to date in one of

our group coaching sessions because one of the

women is a single mom and she has other priorities or there are just other things that are

sometimes more fun to do than dating like your hobbies or hanging out with friends. And so

she said in our session today, you know, I feel like I'm the 40% guy.

Like, I'm the 40% woman in these dating connections, even when I have connections with people

that would be interesting to explore further. So the way that I explained this to her is that our life is kind of like

a company. We have different departments and we also have a resource called our energy, which in a

company would be the departments and money, right? So we have money that we pump into these different departments,

and then that produces a certain outcome. And so if we think about the different departments

of our life, we have work, we have kids, we have friends, we have health, we have hobbies,

we have alone time, we have sleep, we have all of these different

things. And prioritization is most clear when it comes to how we choose to invest our resources.

And dating is one of those departments that is the easiest to justify to lay off first when

there was a budget problem and so as i was explaining this to her she actually shared that oh you know what

i actually always have thought of dating as kind of a frivolous thing and not something that's essential or necessary,

because that is kind of the common culture where I live.

So first of all, just check in with yourself and see if you have a similar belief around

the department of dating.
