BBC Sounds Music Radio Podcasts

Hello, the R&B trio flow have been named the BBC's Sound of 2023.

Hopefully that sends them on the same road to stardom that previous winners have been on,

like Adele. Now, you know on newscast we love to take an existing BBC concept and then kind

of mutate it into our own version. So instead of the sound of 2023 on newscast, we want to know

your noise of 2023. What is the noise that you think will symbolise this year for you?

And Bibi for the rest of us too. So we assembled the newscast Brains Trust to work out what those

noises could be. Someone suggested the sound of a train station when there are no trains running,

which of course would be silence. So we roped in friend of the podcast Emma Clark, who's the

voice of the London Underground, to create the sound for us. All train services are cancelled

due to strike action. Please check departure and arrival boards, appropriate apps and time

tables for up to date information. Then someone else suggested this.

That's the sound of a kettle boiling which is going to get progressively more expensive during 2023.

My sound is this. What do you mean you don't recognise it? That is the anthem of the European

Broadcasting Union, who are the organisation that actually run the Eurovision Song Contest,

which of course this year is coming to Liverpool as the UK hosts it on behalf of Ukraine.
