Summary

Prime Minister's Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday the House of Commons sits. It gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister or a nominated minister. In most cases, the session starts with a routine 'open question' from an MP about the Prime Minister's engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance.

security renewal for the British people. Mr. Speaker, the Air India plane crash last week was devastating.

Our thoughts and condolences are with everyone affected by this awful incident

and we're working closely with the Indian authorities to support those in need.

Mr. Speaker, nine years ago we lost our beloved friend and colleague Joe Cox, who is a beacon

of positivity and courage and her legacy lives on.

I must also take this opportunity to also remember Sir David Amos, much missed by the

Mr. Speaker, this Sunday March Windrush Day, we celebrate the extra-order contribution, the Windrush

Generation and their descendants to our country. This morning, I had meetings with ministerial
