San Francisco Pride marks its 50th anniversary this weekend, and although the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed events online, the celebrations continue. We'll hear about the programs,

discussions, and performances on TAP in California, and will reflect on the history and future

of the Pride movement. And as protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd and other African-Americans

continue, we'll explore how the fights for racial justice and LGBTQ-plus rights intersect and how

activists are informing and supporting each other. It's the 50th anniversary of LGBTQ pride this weekend in San Francisco.

And while the pandemic may have

canceled the parties and parades, the celebrations are carrying on virtually.

In this hour, we're going to hear from pride organizers in California about how you can join

in, and as the nation continues to reckon with systemic racism exposed by the police

killing of George Floyd, we will also discuss what the movements

for racial justice and LGBTQ rights have in common and how activists can further work together
