And pride does deceive us.

Pride distorts our perception.

And we don't see things as they truly are.

Jesus always went for the lowly people, the hurting people.

And it's sad in our churches sometimes because we get our little groupies.

We're really when you go to church, you'll look for somebody that looks lonely or

like they're hurting and go, or somebody by themselves, and say, hey, you want to come sit with us?

You know, let's get ourselves off our mind for a few minutes.

And think of somebody else.

People that are full of pride are simply competitive.

They want to impress people.

I always say you're never free to, you no longer have to impress anybody.

And you know, and we'll never really fully listen to God until we realize we don't have to impress people.

We try to impress people with the clothes and the jewelry we wear.

Kind of car we drive, the furniture we own, the house we live in, the place you live, the company you work for, how much education you got.
