Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. Hope things are well with you, wherever you are today. Hope it's payday for you. For you weekly and biweekly wage runners, maybe it is. Maybe for those of you that get paid last day of the month like I used to, today would be a payday. So I hope that you guys have a chance to get out and do some things that you enjoy this weekend.

I will be in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I don't know how much I will enjoy that, but I will share with you that any time that I get a chance to watch Mississippi State play in person, is a good day.

Win or lose, it's a good day because I could be back in the retail furniture business.

Not that I didn't enjoy managing a team, but it's much nicer. The alternative is much, much better.

Had a great time last night at Capitol Grill there in Jackson, Mississippi, in the DeVille Plaza.

I had a book signing there, had a really nice turnout. I got a chance to meet some of you guys, too.

It's a really cool little place, and I would say probably maybe 30 or so people who came in there told me that the ball books and say it's the first time I've ever been in here. And so my hope is you'll go back. Lance, Corky, those guys do a great job there. I had never been there before either. And they have this special hamburger they're really proud of.

I didn't have that. I had

the War Eagle Chicken sandwiched there before either. And they have this special hamburger they're really proud of. I didn't have that.

I had the War Eagle chicken sandwich. Somebody told me that one of the patrons there, so that was

their favorite item to order. So I checked it out. I had the cheese sticks. Man, it was great. It's a

great vibe. We've got, you know, probably about, I don't know, 20 TVs in there and set up for

different ball games. And so if you're in the Jackson, Mississippi area tomorrow and you want to go watch some college football, let me encourage you go to Capitol Grill. Go check those guys out. And listen, it's been a good week on the book tour. I mean, it really has been. We've been around a little bit, and we're trying to spend all of our time between now and Christmas in state, kind of taking care of our base.

And part of that, too, to be honest with you, is there are some vendors and some bookstores and some retailers that have been incredibly supportive of me the last four years.

They've all carried the books. They've set up book signings. They've, you know, done a lot of

things to kind of help me. And so now that we're kind of dealing with this global pandemic stuff,

but a lot of these folks took a real beating, you know, during the shutdown, you all know that.

I mean, it's not, it's not something that you're unaware of. But it's easy now that we've kind of

had some

sense of normalcy again that you know we forget that a lot of these people that depend on

our retail dollars to support their families heavily struggled and so I'm trying to make a commitment

...
