Max Chadwick alongside Dalton Wasserman here, previewing and predicting the 10 biggest games of Week 12 in college football.

0:31.0

Dalton, we have three weeks left of the 2025 college football regular season in the playoff race is still wide open right now.

0:42.3

But we have some massive, massive games in week 12, including three most likely games between ranked teams this week.

0:50.3

Hey, look, is this the week where we finally just can officially call it the stretch run? Is that where we are now with three weeks to go and not many conference games to go for these teams either? But we have so many games it feels like this week, especially in the SEC that have such big consequences when it comes to the conference standings and those playoff races that you were talking about. And look, it's only going to get more interesting after we had some upsets last week, right? The playoff rankings are going to get shaken up over the next three weeks and even into conference title weekend. So we're about to start having a lot of fun. A bunch of do or die games that we're going to talk about today for a lot of playoff contenders right now. And a bunch of games that are massive for the standings and a couple wide open conferences like the Big 12 and the ACC right now too.

PFF, CFB 25. All right. Let's dive into the first game we're going to talk about Dalton

1:54.0

where ESPN's college game day is going. It's the first Saturday at Pittsburgh for ESPN College

2:00.1

Game Bay Show in about, I think, 20 years for the Panthers.

2:03.6

Got Notre Dame at Pitt.

2:05.3

Again, there's no rankings on the bottom of the screen because this is being recorded before the playoff rankings are revealed tonight.

2:11.9

But both Notre Dame and Pitt will be in the top 25, considering both of them were the top 25 last week as well.

2:18.9

And this game has huge playoff implications for both programs.

2:23.4

I say both.

2:24.5

And I'm looking at Pat Nourdesi right now saying that because you see Pat Narduzzi's quote a couple days ago.

2:29.3

Yep, it's just he's much more concerned, apparently, at least on the surface with the ACC games as opposed to this one. Although, I mean, look, does it make sense maybe on the surface? Yeah, they already have two losses, including one kind of bad one to West Virginia and Pitt's probably not in the at-large conversation, but it is a little odd that you would say something like that out loud. A little odd to be like, hey, they could beat us 100 to nothing and I wouldn't really care.

2:52.7

It's like, okay, man.

2:53.8

Unless he's just trying to low him to sleep.

3:06.6

Maybe, maybe. That's true. They weren't getting backwards on it. Now, it is a massive game for Notre Dame, though, for sure, because Notre Dame probably has to. Actually, no, not even probably. they have to win their last three games in order to make the college football playoff right now.
