But here in Las Vegas to cover preseason action, today I want to break down what we need to see out of the Lakers in tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns, the things that we're going to be really looking for in this one. So let's talk a little bit about tonight's preseason game. Lakers versus Sons. This is game two

of the preseason for the Lakers. Obviously, they lost their last preseason game against the

Kings by 30. That is not ideal. But we also have to look at that as really two separate games.

We saw in the first two quarters, the first half of the game, you saw the Lakers with a more

standard rotation.

There were a few other players that were mixed in that probably wouldn't normally get minutes,

guys like Max Christie.

But for the most part, you saw LeBron, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis in a fairly typical rotation as though they were trying to win the game. And then in the second half, it was all about just getting minutes for the younger players. And let's face it, the King's younger players with a mix of some of their veterans like Malik Monk was in there, Davion Mitchell was in there.
