We came to the remark by US Air Force General Minahan that we need to be ready for a war in the Pacific against the People's Republic of China a peer rival by 2025.

Gordon rephrases the question, and General Holt has a blunt answer.

General, you referred to General Minahan's comments on timeline. Is the US military prepared because you talked about 2025? Are we going to be ready by then or earlier?

It's our choice, Gordon. We can be. I can tell you that in terms of personnel, the rank and file of the United States military as much duress as they're under and everything from wokeism and vast policies and recruiting challenges.

No, they are quite ready, especially in the way that we do typical warfare. However, this is a near peer competitor, and I think General Minahan's right to keep the knife edge sharpened and us at our highest state of readiness.

DC is not helping with that. The politicians are not helping with that. But we've been in this place before. It looks a lot like 1939 when George Marshall had to somehow get this country ready for World War II.

And we didn't seem like we were up for it at the time. I'm worried our weakness is taking us there. I'm John bachelor.
