And we're going to talk about a very saucy topic.

We're going to talk about Friedrich Engels and his views in socialism, particularly as he expressed them in his book

Socialism utopian and Scientific. So I think it's going to be a very interesting discussion.

Yeah, because neither of us are fans and we've read a substantial amount of Marxist text and I think this is a good example as to why the

Marxist try to seed unto themselves the illusion of historical inevitability

and scientific legitimacy but it's also very vague and

vague nebulous so it's it's intoxicating and attractive for midwits, but when you drill into it,

there's a reason why communism has always ended up in privation and bloodshed. Well, what I want

to understand is why it attracts also very smart people because if you see the history of communism you also see smart people and I think that one of the problems with ideologies is that they attract both you know lower low intelligence people and also

very high intelligence people. I think I know why that is. Okay do you want to... Well I put this theory forth in my video presentation last year.

Real communism has already been tried and that is that there's a bifurcation in who adopts

communism. There's the dark triad tribes who are very savvy political actors who know that the dictatorship of the

proletariat is actually the true aim of communism. It's the instantiation of the redistributive

socialist state who has a monopoly on force, that they as the

revolutionary Vanguard can lead and they'll never be deposed because, as George Frost

canon said in source of Soviet conduct, they will perpetually use the threat of encroaching

capitalism from abroad or within, they will subvert the socialist state before it reaches

true communism to keep the state existing forever to justify their own power.

And then you have all the other midwits who think, I'm going to live in a communist paradise and I'll be basket weaving and writing poetry for a living and I'll be doing video game development for the communist utopia.
